REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

Contract 6:00am – 2:30pm (Overtime available)
Pay up to $50.00 an hour
*Pay is negotiable and based on experience*

Education & experience:

Preferred high school or equivalent

Preferred 5 or more years HVAC
License/Certification:

OSHA 10

EPA
-
Preferred Refrigeration Tech License
Work is at multiple locations and a willingness to travel is 100% preferred.
Requirements:
-
Ability to multitask
-
Experience with management of 3-6 employees
-
Coming to work everyday ONTIME
-
Run refrigeration piping for mini splits, VRF systems, Condensers, etc.
-
Pipe branch boxes
-
Braze and Kpress refrigeration pipe
-
Testing pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks
-
Testing electrical circuits or components for continuity
-
Calculate amount of refrigerant needed per system
-
Experience with Diamond Builder, Lennox, Daikin Software
-
Installing new HVAC equipment: Boilers, VRF, Mitsubishi units, Fan coil units, Cooling towers, Air rotation units, Rooftop units, Exhaust Fans, Baseboard, etc.
-
Connecting HVAC equipment to fuel, water, or refrigerant sources
-
Able to read blueprints
-
Assembling, positioning, and mounting HVAC equipment
-
Cutting or drilling holes in buildings structure
-
Cutting, grooving pipether
-
Must have own hand tools
-
Must be able to pass a background/drug test

Requirements:

Experience with installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems
-
Able to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues quickly and efficiently
-
Can read blueprints
-
Able to install heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment in commercial buildings (Not limited to VRF systems, Chillers, RTU's, ERV's, Exhaust Fans, Cooling Towers, and mini splits)
-
Understands all types of HVAC systems (Include but are not limited to air cooled, water cooled, hot water systems, chilled water systems, VAV systems, steam heating systems and building automation control systems)
-
Ability to run refrigeration piping, braze or Kpress
-
able to work as a team player to install heating and air conditioning equipment
-
Must demonstrate the knowledge and ability to use all hand and or power tools associated with the type of work being performed
-
Must have hand tools
-
Install all types of mechanical and HVAC equipment and associated ductwork and components for commercial and industrial buildings
-
Must have experience with working on construction sites and occupied spaces in all weather conditions
-
Must have reliable transportation

Work with accounting on billings, flash reports, and cost to completes

Read contracts and specs

Read the submittal and understand the product

Work with general contractor and other subs to meet project deadlines
